We are seeking a talented and highly independent Unity Game Developer to join our mobile free-to-play games studio. As a Unity Game Developer, you will play a crucial role in supervising the bulk of technical and client-related work, as well as actively participating in the design and mechanics ideation process.
As a founding member of our team, you will directly contribute and benefit from our company's successes. Banjo Games consists of industry experts backed by some of the most prominent investors in the mobile gaming space.
Responsibilities

Implementing game mechanics, core game loops, character logic, UIs, and scripts using Unity and C#.

Participating in the ideation of game mechanics and concepts, as a dev-domain expert.

Collaborating with the product owner, designers and artists to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring a seamless integration of art, sound, and gameplay.

Conducting regular testing and debugging to identify and resolve technical issues, and optimizing game performance for various mobile devices.

Continuously improving game development workflows and processes, streamlining development cycles and ensuring efficiency.
Requirements

A love for gaming, and preferably experience as a mobile player.

A rapid prototyping mentality, and preferably a portfolio to back it up.

Demonstrated mastery of C# (Unity 3D) with strong coding standards.

Experience with analytics and integrating analytic backends.

Experience with popular mobile advertising, attribution and IAP billing SDKs.

A rich understanding of game design principles and player experience

Experience in git version-control software and development of reusable code/systems.

Ownership mentality with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to contribute to the creative process through brainstorming, prototyping and playtesting.

Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate.
Nice to Have
-
Shipped a top-charting mobile game.

Familiarity with other game engines, such as Godot.

Backend capabilites and familiarity with multiplayer frameworks e.g. Photon Engine.

Participated in game jams or building a side-project.
